Setting up DB2 WebSphere MQ functions

db2qgmq.dll

db2mqsw.dll

2. จากนั้น download Application Message Interface (AMI) จาก

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg24000641&loc=en_US&cs=utf-

8&lang=en

Continue

DB2 SIGNAL EXAMPLE

Example

CREATE PROCEDURE SP_THROW_MESSAGE()

LANGUAGE SQL

BEGIN

--Author: Mr.Fuangwith S.

DECLARE v_err_message VARCHAR(255) DEFAULT '' ;

SET v_err_message = 'HELLO WORLD';

SIGNAL SQLSTATE '12345' SET MESSAGE_TEXT =… Continue

How long it takes to insert 1M rows into DB2?

Many times people ask me if DB2 will be fast enough for their application. They are usually most worried about INSERT performance. Often acceptable performance means ability to insert 1k rows per second. Can DB2 do that?

To get decent insert performance from DB2 you must turn autocommit off and use prepared statement. This is pretty simple to do and DB2 can insert that way about 5k rows per second into moderate sized (about 1GB) table. Its slightly faster (7k rows per… Continue

CATALOGCACHE_SZ

Some time ago IBM published the information that the DB2 version 8.2 will not be supported after the 30 April 2009.

All existing databases should be migrated to the latest DB2 version 9.5

Sometimes there are problems. Recently I migrated one server on which I had a few instances.

There was a problem with one instance.

A process db2start2 used from 30 to 40% of the resources.

In the logs there is information to increase CATALOGCACHE_SZ DB… Continue

syscatspace, check and increase the size

There comes a moment when I need to enlarge the space for the syscatspace.

We get an alert that the space is used in almost 100%.

And what then?

It all depends on the management system have taken.

In DB2 8.x you can choose the SMS and DMS.

In the first case, the space will always be used at 100%, the operating system itself will increase in the volume measure of the data.

When we are dealing with a DMS can be established to develop options that the… Continue

problems with the performance,

Sometimes there is a problem with the performance of certain applications to appeal to the resources collected in db2.

Response time increases in application performance decreases.

Then you must review the contents of the file and locate the error nfy even like this:

ADM4500W A package cache overflow condition has occurred. There is no error

but this indicates that the package cache has exceeded the configured maximum

size. If this condition persists, you…

runstats - SQL2310N The utility could not generate statistics. Error "-930" was returned

introduction

Hello,

I would like to create my own blog, where I will be publishing solutions to various problems related to the DB2 version 8.x and 9.5.

It will be a mixture of information from different fields of knowledge and level of advancement. From the trivial, the more complex, such as tuning of databases.

I can not guarantee the regularity of entries, but that's beside the point.
Waiting for any comments.

Have a good read :)

How to find out the SQL statements causing db2 deadlock?

Continue

You do not want to be an Einstein to Innovate:

What is Difference between ‘Invention’ and ‘Discovery’?

If I throw this question to you all; I can expect, at least 80% of people will give right answer. The expectation is high, because in schools or in colleges we have been educated about the invention, discovery and its differences. Now, if I put this question, what is the difference between invention and innovation? How many of us will answer correctly?

The Answer - Invention is bringing an idea to practical or… Continue
