well, I do want to say that YES, I already work with db2.
Though truth is that right now, I am preparing for certification IBM-730 and learning db2 as well.

I suggest you add containers as needed, if you add more containers at once, it may take more time in re balancing depending upon your database size.
So you are DB2 + Cognos ? YOU ROCK !!
