Dear DB2 colleagues,

While this announcement is about a prize sponsored by CA, it is a prize about DB2!

Consider Submitting for the CA IDUG Award for Outstanding Work in DB2: Great Prizes. Get Recognized.

September 11, 2009 deadline.

In conjunction with IDUG and four independent DB2 consultants, CA has opened the submissions process for the second presentation of this award for DB2. –Beware– This is not your typical vendor-driven award. It is open to DB2 shops from any corner of the globe, whether they use CA’s products, another vendor’s tools or homegrown technologies.

1. There is a panel of seven judges (See below).
2. The prizes for the winners are impossible to ignore (See below).
3. The deadline for the first contest is insane. (Click on the link).
4. The criteria balance the human aspects of delivering great results in DB2, technical innovation and demonstrable business value of DB2 projects. (See the submission form at the link below.)

www.ca.com/awards/db2

Prizes include an IDUG conference pass, half-day consulting engagements by each of the four consultant judges, expense reimbursement up to $1500 for travel to an IDUG conference or an on-site consulting engagement, and plaque.

Judges: The President of IDUG – Michael McBride, Peter Backlund (Peter Backlund DB2-Konsult AB), Ole Holmskov (HITCON), Kurt Struyf (Competence Partners), Isaac Yassin (Isaac Yassin Consulting) plus Scott Jessee and Dave Schipper (CA).

IDUG 2009 - Europa 2009 Conference Planning Committee
