DB2 Certification: What's Next?
Congratulations again to all who passed the DB2 9 Fundamentals certification exam on March 24th. In Pat Moffatt's words, "The results reflect that the students that were committed to passing the exam, continued their studies to be successful in passing the exam. The highest score achieved was 99% ... an impressive result! After taking the exam, many students expressed an interest in taking additional exams (i.e, 731 or 733) or retaking the 730 exam as they were close to passing. This shows great initiative and is a great result!"

I was very close to passing and is interested to retake the test but I was told there is a $30US fee involved in retaking the test. Is there any method to negate this fee?

A $30 fee is required for the further DB2 certificates. It is free If you retake 730. You might as well confirm with Pat.

Hi Agatha, I'm from Switzerland and I saw your great site :-)
I work for IBM as a DBA for LUW.
I passed my DB2 9 Fundamentals certification exam last year.
So, I'll make the next certification exam 731 this year.
Do you organize this certification course as well ?

Hi Gianni, CONGRATULATIONS for passing the 730 exam. I have created a group for 731 certification exam. Use this group to open discussions or ask questions. Depending on how many are interested in taking the 731 exam, I can ask an ambassador who passed the 731 exam to run the DB2 9 Database Administration workshop.
